It's Been a Long Time!

It sure has been a long time since I have gotten around to posting--I have been very busy! I wanted to let you know about a new endeavor of mine, a handmade in America marketplace called Down the Handmade Path at www.downthehandmadepathmarketplace.com. DtHP is a Handmade Primitive, Folk Art, & Craft Marketplace dedicated to promoting the diligent efforts of its members whose products are made by hand in America. To get started on the website, you simply click one of the eight category buttons on the left to browse the wonderful handmade creations of DtHP's Gallery Merchants. I am amazed at the enormous amount of talent out there! Enjoy your look around; your journey "down the handmade path".

School's Out for Summer!

Well, it's that time of year for me again! School is out for summer, and that means more time to design new stitchery patterns and enjoy not having a schedule to guide my days. I am currently getting two new patterns ready to post on http://www.rusticthreads.com/. One is a ANOTHER snowman pattern--I love to design with these frigid friends. The other is a redwork, love-themed pattern group. Look for these to be posted real soon--they have just been tea stained and are drying right now! Also--I want to draw your attention to one of the great links I have posted on this blog--The Wooden Nail. They offer so many great, primitive/colonial type wood patterns and more. I have just finished building one of their patterns that I will also soon be sharing here on my blog. You must check out The Wooden Nail! All the best!

Create & Decorate Pattern

I am thrilled to share with you that I have a candle cozy pattern featured in the June issue of Create & Decorate magazine. The "Flight of the Bumblebee" candle cozy is quick and easy to stitch up. Inspired by a classical orchestral interlude with the same name, this candle cozy will add a bit of whimsy to a plain jar candle. The June issue of Create & Decorate is on newsstands now! The June issue is full of wonderful ideas, and you can visit the Create & Decorate website to view a preview of all the projects included in this issue. Just visit http://www.createanddecorate.com/.

Free Pattern!

I would like to direct you to a free pattern that I have posted on my website at http://rusticthreads.com/FreeStitcheryPattern.htm --it is absolutely free to download! "Willie & Me" is a stitchery pattern that is simple and quick to make, and you can turn it into an ornament, bowl-filler, or whatever you desire. Willie sits atop his snowbuddy's head to welcome the falling snow. Enjoy this free pattern!
